ProgramS Fellow

The Programs Fellow will assist the Program Director in the successful implementation and growth of EMW Bookstore’s core programming, as well as help secure sponsorships, perform community outreach, and cultivate relationships with local partners and organizations.

 
 
 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with community partners, artists, and program leads to create and maintain program schedules

  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials, including social media posts and email newsletters

  • Research potential community partners for sponsorships and cultivate positive relationships with community organizations who share EMW’s mission

  • Generate reports detailing the status of programs or other projects

  • Update the EMW Programs calendar on the website as necessary and maintain Facebook event calendar to ensure all data is up-to-date

  • Have the opportunity to work on their own project, whether it’s planning and executing their own special event at EMW or working behind-the-scenes to improve and develop EMW’s core programs

  • Attend weekly EMW Core Team meeting on Mondays and meet with Program Director at least once a week to discuss current project statuses and timelines

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed high school and/or is currently in a college degree program

  • A keen interest and genuine passion to nonprofit work, community spaces, and EMW’s mission

  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people

  • Positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed

  • Flexibility to create and/or execute ideas in a new or ambiguous environment

  • Be an advocate for program activities to operate within our Program Curation Guidelines and Safer Space Policy

TYPE OF POSITION

  • 8-10 hours per week
