East Meets Beats #15

In this quick pre-show podcast, East Meets Beats Program Lead, Ludjy Derisier (AKA hollowz) talks production, first tracks, gear, and feels with fellow beatmakers Kansado, Subdaio, and K-Zo.

At East Meets Beats #15, K-Zo debuted his first live set. Returning to Cambridge’s EMW Bookstore (where he was the house sound engineer) from San Diego, CA, K-Zo compiled a DJ set featuring future space electronica tracks and infectious grooves.

Following K-Zo’s high-energy set, Kansado pulled through with a set that continued to compel the crowd to dance. All the while, with a light show in the background, he accompanied his DJ set with tasty jazz piano licks and slick synth runs. Flow-Fi co-founder, Subdaio, then rounded out the set by providing the sonic landscape for a wild cypher.
